2/28 In-Class Midterm Review

 

Written section (short answer, multiple choice) and then a hands-on section

The hands-on section is longer, but the written section is also important!

 

Getting material for midterm

Look at each class period and read through notes, important readings, etc

ALWAYS look at the homework in preparation for the hands-on section! Be sure to read the comments Dr. Semmes and I have left (if you haven't read them already) for you.

Memory vs. Storage

How to create professional looking documents (capital letters = shouting, etc)

Be able to do and understand all the Word objectives and use them in the hands-on section

 

Class 6

Look at comments on resumes

Business letters

 

Class 7

Be able to efficiently find references on the library's website

Know how to use RefWorks

 

Class 8

Know Word objectives for this class (drop caps, pull quotes, etc) and be able to use them in the hands-on section
