Krystal Kohler, Lauren Douglass, and Crosby Burdon
What's up
I'll volunteer to write the paragraphs. I just don't have any articles.
Hey guys, I can get the articles if that's cool (Crosby)
That's fine. Douglass, do you want to do the citations?
Sure I'll do them (Lauren)
Just let me know where you get your stuff (Lauren)
Ok, I was just a little confused. Sorry Lauren! Crosby, I'll just need a summary of the articles and the topic so I can start writing the paper. (Krystal)
And let me know the names and where you got the articles....I'll just have to sit here until then I guess (Lauren)
Ok for the topic, how about how Web 2.0 is changing business and social interactions in the 21st century? I have an article about facebook that you can talk about, and I'm looking for some more
Ok, that sounds good. Also, did you guys just hear what she said about refworks? Crosby, could you create that read-only password so Lauren and I can access the articles? (Krystal)
Yeah, the article I'm talking about is called "facebook's about face" and its in my Web 2.0 folder. the read only password is read. The article is about some program that facebook introduced that allowed marketers to intrude on the privacy of facebook members and the protest that followed. a good quote that you can talk about is

attempts to take targeted and viral marketing
to the next level, marketing may get
more invasive, signaling the imminent
need to confront security issues across the
entire Web.
I also have an article about the same kinda stuff. It's called "Can You Trust Your Social Network". Deals with advertising. In my web 2.0 file ldouglas password read
Ok cool. Where do we go to access the read only information?
Crosby what is your username? And you log in with the other persons login name and their read only password she just said
its cburdon
You can also talk about wikis. An article that I found is called “teaching business in a web 2.0 world, and its about wikis and their use in an educational environment.

Anything else you guys need me to do? (Cros)
I don't know lol. What is the last source and where can I find it so I can site it?
Ok. I'm writing the papre right now. What's the trusting yoru social network about exactly? Can I get more meat from that?
It's about how Facebook uses a Beacon program to take your personal info and take the info about your actions on the website (like where you visit and what your interests seem to be) and they use that info to put appropriate ads on the page. I think....
They are debating about if it invades privacy
I'll finish it by today. I just need the last paragraph, that's all.
